2011 - The year of Grand Vanity...?
We have the most anaemic blog of any band anywhere, and if you look below this post you’ll clearly see the evidence of that statement. Perhaps this is because we are lazy and slow. I know the latter to be true of myself, but I truly hope the former isn’t correct. In any case, we’ve had a particularly exciting start to the year with both a song featured on NBC’s Chuck (see...

Grand Vanity
Grand Vanity now exists. A name which conjures up images of a giant dressing table. Like that dressing table, Grand Vanity may reveal it’s own reflection in song, and give a broad palette of colour to ornament the face of composition.
Putting such pretensions aside, we truly aim to make meaningful, melodious measures of music, presenting the world as we view it, and making a captivating...

I'll see you at Crane's Tavern
I’ll be playing a solo show (sans Elle Reese on drums) at Crane’s Tavern in Hollywood this Tuesday, October 27. Also on the bill is the excellent Jamie Drake.
The show is free, the beer cheap, the ambience swell, and the music of utmost quality. All in all, not a bad Tuesday night for you.
More information over here.

GREG JONG PLAYS THE KEY CLUB THIS SATURDAY!
It’s true. Come watch me croon out my greatest hits at the Key Club Plush Lounge in West Hollywood this Saturday, October 10th at 10pm sharp (with Rebekah LeBeau). Elle Rese, as always, will be banging on the drums and I’ll be playing some new songs as well. A better Saturday night cannot be had!
Derby Doll Encounters
I was extremely excited to meet Brian Kehew at the Roller Derby on Saturday night… This guy is awesome. He owns a giant collection of Mellotrons and I also saw him play keyboards for The Who at the Hollywood Bowl a couple of years ago… then I later find out that he’s one half of Moog Cookbook and co-wrote Recording The Beatles! Incredible.

Aha - it was Molly Malone's
The warmest thanks extended to those that came to the soiree… The new song worked out pretty sweet, and we even survived a technological glitch which could have put our performance asunder. Thanks to our friends from the O.C. for making load-out extremely easy too!
