2011 - The year of Grand Vanity…?
We have the most anaemic blog of any band anywhere, and if you look below this post you’ll clearly see the evidence of that statement. Perhaps this is because we are lazy and slow. I know the latter to be true of myself, but I truly hope the former isn’t correct. In any case, we’ve had a particularly exciting start to the year with both a song featured on NBC’s Chuck (see the THIS POST for the clip), and a contest win with the John Lennon Educational Tourbus which led to playing a gig at the NAMM show (a clip of that HERE).
How do we follow this? I’m not entirely sure, but I’m trying to piece together a suitable plan. One of the next junctures will be a trip to Austin, TX for the annual SXSW festival. We’re set to play the ‘Spin It Indie’ showcase at the 121 Bar on Friday March 18th. So obviously, if you’re on track for a trip to SXSW then add that date to your planner immediately.
Another pressing Grand Vanity deficiency is the supply of new recordings. This situation is being rectified and I plan on posting a song shortly. Another EP is in the works too, but if you haven’t got our first one then purchase it HERE or search for us on iTunes, or Amazon, or Rhapsody, or whichever other online retailer you frequent.
